TDWI Munich took place at the MOC Munich from 24 to 26 June 2025. On 25 June, in the Data Science & AI track, Benjamin Berger and Raphael Hettich of Consiliari Software GmbH spoke together with Prof. Dr. Uwe Haneke of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA). Their talk was titled “Digitalisation with AI support: making contract management more efficient”.

At its centre was a case study from public administration. A responsible authority reviews contracts submitted to it by external parties. The solution presented takes over the analysis of the documents and a first review. Reviewers work with checklists and can ask questions about the document in a chat. A portal connects both contracting parties, so that submitters and the authority work on the same case.

Beyond the features, the talk covered lessons from the project: how the architecture is built and how the AI was integrated, how the user interfaces are designed, what role the quality of the submitted data plays, and how the people involved were brought in.

Kontrakte.AI follows a clear principle: the AI pre-checks, people decide. Every finding points to its source in the document, so reviewers can trace it.

The talk was aimed at process owners, chief digital officers and specialists in data science and legal tech. You can find out more about the pre-check under Check and about how both parties work together under Negotiate. The programme entry is available on the TDWI website.
